Chart topping sensation Lama Del Rey has hit back at critics who claim she is the creation of record industry stylists and image makers, stating that she has never undergone any procedures to change her appearance.

Lama - who is suspected to have undergone extensive tick and de-lousing treatments at the tender age of 5 - has enjoyed a meteoric rise to fame over the past year; from an unknown South American pack animal called Margery Grant, to super-hot retro singing celebrity.

The shy singer suffered media embarrassment recently after a poor performance on a top-rated US show, but insisted that live performances are not her strong point; stating that writing the music was what she does best, as well as possessing a great talent for carrying heavy loads of backpacker's equipment up the foothills of the Andes.

While Lama's current album 'Born to Graze' is riding high in the charts, the singer is currently on an extensive tour of provincial zoos and adventures farms across the UK, where she can be stroked, petted and fed bits of torn-up grass.
