Angler sees ghost fish on Manchester ship canal

Mental out-patient Barry pointing to where he saw the ghost-fish. Do you see anything unusual in the photo?
Angler Barry Wallis received the shock of his fishing career - and indeed his life last week - when he saw what could only be described as a "ghostly apparition of an aquatic nature" - in other words, a fish ghost.
Mental out-patient Mr. Wallis, 47, sighted the transparent ectoplasm while out fishing for roach on the Manchester ship canal last Sunday.
"I saw this misty, fish-like form floating over the water. In fact it looked a bit like a large, plump carp." Described Barry, 34, yesterday from his padded cell.
The 51 year-old match angler was a former stage designer for eighties pop sensation "5 Star" before mental illness struck due to many drugs and electrical shocks to the head.
"Come to think of it," added Barry, "It could have just been some mist rising off the water."
